Grizzlies recall McLemore and Rabb from Hustle
After rehabbing his foot injury, McLemore looks to return Saturday in Houston.
The Memphis Grizzlies have recalled Ben McLemore and Ivan Rabb from the Memphis Hustle. McLemore has been with the Hustle, the Grizzlies G-League affiliate, rehabbing a right foot injury that occurred in the offseason. Rabb was selected 35th overall in the 2017 NBA Draft.
Ben McLemore has not appeared in a game for the Grizzlies after signing a 2-year free agency deal worth $10.7 million. He has career averages of 9.4 points per game on 35% shooting from three-point range. In his final year with the Sacramento Kings, McLemore had the best three-point shooting percentage of his career. In his only game with the Hustle, McLemore recorded eight points, two rebounds and 2 steals in just 16 minutes.

Ivan Rabb was drafted out of the University of California in the second round; he signed a three-year rookie contract but was sent to the Hustle after seeing just one minute of action late in a win over the Houston Rockets. Rabb tallied a double-double in both the Hustle’s first games. He averaged 18 points, 13.5 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks in 33.7 minutes a game. He also shot just under 60% from the field.
The Memphis Grizzlies will face the Houston Rockets on the road the night of Saturday, November 11. JaMychal Green is also set to return soon, though it is unclear whether he will return this Saturday or in the home game against the Rockets on November 18.
